Go Organic With Better Understanding
Are you belong to the category of people who are very much conscious about their food ingredients and try to surround themselves with organic stuffs only. If yes then before buying the foodstuffs label as organic you should understand the difference between 100 %organic, organic, made with organic ingredients and natural.
100% organic
Foods labeled “100% organic” with the USDA or NPOP organic seal are the only foods guaranteed to be 100 percent organic.
Organic
Foods labeled “organic” must contain at least 95 percent organic ingredients and have the USDA or NPOP organic seal.
Made with organic ingredients
Foods labeled “made with organic ingredients” may not use the USDA or NPOP organic seal, but must contain at least 70 percent organic ingredients.
Natural or Fresh
Food labeled with natural, fresh and other labels cannot be assumed to be organic as these terms do not share the same definition.
